Ifland Engineers provided preliminary and final civil design services for a new ±20,000 SF medical office building on the site of existing medical offices for which IEI had previously provided the civil design. Services included design of site grading, drainage, utilities, off-site improvements for the Commercial Way/Soquel Drive intersection and for pedestrian crossing/traffic calming improvements on Chanticleer Avenue, on-site retaining walls, erosion control measures and preparation of a Storm Water Prevention Pollution Plan.  Storm water detention was provided with a rock bed beneath pervious pavers at on-site parking areas. A bio-swale was the selected BMP for improving storm water quality around the new building before discharge to the rock bed beneath the pervious pavers.
